HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

£40 for a 10 week course when paid upfront in advance. If you plan to attend 5 or more sessions, this is the best option for you. Otherwise it's £7 to be paid in cash per 'drop in' session. If you want to try a lesson before committing to the term, bring £7 to the lesson and decide at the end. If you decide to stay, I will subsequently invoice you the remaining balance of £33. If ever you need to miss a session, you are welcome to make it up at one of the other groups at no extra charge.

HOW DO I PAY?

I will email you an invoice so you can make a simple bank transfer. If you prefer to pay in cash, please bring £40 to the first lesson if you're signing up for 10 weeks. Otherwise bring £7 each time you drop in. If you need to discuss paying in instalments, please contact me privately.

I'M NOT A VERY GOOD SINGER, AM I WELCOME?

Yes, yes and yes! You will be surprised at what weekly practice in a group can do for you...you may not think you're a good singer, or you may have been told by others that you're not, but singing is like anything, with a little practice you can flourish. Also, don't worry - we're here to have a good time - you won't get singled out or laughed at.

I HAVE SUNG PROFESSIONALLY / I USED TO SING A LOT AT SCHOOL, AM I WELCOME?

Yes, yes and yes! If you are missing something that used to be a big part of your life, this will be just the ticket. There will be opportunities for soloists and more complex harmonies for advanced musicians if they want to push themselves.

I WORK SHIFTS, CAN I JOIN MORE THAN ONE GROUP?

Yes! Shift workers are able to 'choir hop' and attend the group that suits their work schedule week by week. Equally, those who have to miss a week in their regular group are welcome to 'choir hop' and attend one of the other groups as and when.

DO WE HAVE TO STAND UP FOR AN HOUR?

No! There will be chairs for everybody.

IS THERE PARKING AND ARE WE HAVING REFRESHMENTS?

Appledore and St Mary's Bay Village Halls have a free car park attached to the hall. Lydd and Dymchurch halls are both in areas where there is ample free street parking nearby and there is a free carpark at Aldi supermarket for the Hythe group. Rye group are advised to use the carpark opposite the petrol station by the roundabout. We won't be opening the kitchen as we are concentrating all our time and effort into becoming a ridiculously amazing choir! It's a good idea to bring a bottle of water with you.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Anything you're comfortable in. There's no uniform.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD/BABY/PET?

Please email me in advance. carlybryantmusic@gmail.com

I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THIS COURSE FOR SOMEBODY ELSE, IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Yes, no problem at all. Just email me and we can organise that. If you would like to give somebody the course as a present, let me know and I can email you a gift coupon to surprise them with!
